Jumping off the plank
Simple Abundance: Basic Tools

I have a little time to do some catching up today.  Honestly though I have kept reading the book.  These Basic Tools are what put me at a stand still.

First, and fore most the author talks about needing an hour to yourself.  As a mom of 3 kids that one just seems so unrealistic.  But, I’m trying to at least do a little bit it’s definitely not an hour each day but, a couple times a week.  I also don’t have all the tools up and working yet.  In due time, I hope to get these accomplished and built into a habit.

I have my gratitude journal and I try to do that as often as possible but, I’m just not an every day type of girl.  Not that I’m not grateful every day because I truly am I just don’t feel the need to write it down everyday.  Daily Dialogue this one I find helps the most when I can’t sleep.  This is basically spilling out all those silly things that run around in our heads or bother our self conscious selves.  Illustrated Discovery Journal nope haven’t done this one yet.  Artists sketchbook add pictures of what your dreams are; house, vacation, job, life, travels, etc. Treasure Map Collage 8 x 10 poster board. This one reminds me of “The Secret” any of you read or watch that.  Awesome way of picturing what you want putting it in the universe and seeing it come to you.

I really like this book, like the format, and I’m starting to like the journey.  The one conclusion I have come to without a doubt is that I’m already enjoying the simple abundance of life.  Instead of beating myself up trying to figure it all out I realize I have truly already found a lot of it.  Our life is in general fairly simple but, hugely abundant. I just need to discovery the “me” part of my life verse the “them” part of my life that is consumed by the needs of husband, children, business, etc.

The answers are there waiting for me and I look forward to discovering them. One baby step at a time I will reach that goal.
